Title: A Reunion
Author: claudia603
Summary: Frodo and Faramir meet again
Pairing: Frodo/Faramir
Rating: PG
Word count: I don't know, somewhere between a drabble and tiny ficlet
The first that Frodo saw of Faramir since that night in Henneth Annun was at Aragorn's coronation. Faramir handed Frodo the crown, and their hands had touched, their eyes had met. Heat filled Frodo's cheeks, and time stood still. After leaving Henneth Annun, Frodo had thought that perhaps their night together had been a fluke, much needed comfort on a dark road, a memory soon to be discarded. But gazing into Faramir's gray eyes, he knew this was not so. He saw that Faramir had spoken the truth, that they would meet again under a different sun.
After the coronation, Faramir sought Frodo out, and they sat together under a tree, oblivious to everyone around them. They talked long into the afternoon, long into the evening. Frodo had a vague recollection of the other hobbits taking their leave, of Aragorn speaking to them briefly.
Frodo yawned, but he did not wish to take leave of Faramir, for fear of extinguishing the magic. There was no need, as Faramir wrapped his arm around Frodo, holding him close. They both leaned against the tree's base, and Frodo dozed. He need not return to the Shire to feel as if he had come home.
