Drabble: Fear

Frodo panted as he thrust against Gandalf, clutching at the thick gray clumps of fabric that threatened to smother him at times.

Gandalf did not make any noise at all, but his face showed a myriad of emotion.

“Do not fear for me,” Frodo said afterwards, as they cuddled together on the floor of Bag End. “I will keep it safe.”

“I cannot help but fear for you.” Gandalf caressed a soft cheek. “You are the light that glows through bitter darkness. If I lose you…if Middle earth loses you…I am lost.”

Frodo answered with a kiss.
