For Shirebound
Request: A hobbit in the snow, with a puppy warm inside his coat.
This is an actual drabble!
“Aragorn, come quick!”
Aragorn, smoking a pipe and grinning, stepped out on the porch. Nobody knew the King and his lover were at their home in Evendim.
Big, whispering snowflakes fell swift and hard and showed no sign of letting up. Frodo stood in snow up to his knees and held a squirming golden puppy inside his coat. “It's too deep for Shirepup!”
“It is nearly too deep for you, my small friend,” Aragorn laughed. “Come back inside. A fire is going and I shall make you hot creamed chocolate. And turkey scraps for Sir Shirepup.”
