This is an actual drabble, lol.



Frodo settled on the bench beside the gurgling brook. Fresh air. Gentle sunlight. But the delights of Rivendell could not fully squelch the darkness. A chill clutched his heart that brought to mind the barrow wights and his heart's betrayal of his friends.

“Frodo?” Aragorn appeared out of the shadows that had dimmed the sun. “Are you well?”

“I...I don't know. Everything is in darkness.” He shivered, unable to stop his teeth from chattering.

Aragorn took off his cloak and wrapped it around Frodo. “Come, let me carry you back. Your wound is not yet healed.”
