Pairing: None (although if you're an F/S fan, I'm sure you can see something here, lol)

Sam did not let himself look at the Elvish starlight, how it set the walls of Mr. Frodo’s walls a’glitter like jewels.
Later, if his master pulled through, he could look. Now his place was next to Mr. Frodo and no place else.
I’ll not let the starlight steal him away. I’ll sit right here next to him as long as it takes.
Of course the poison that wormed deep down toward Frodo’s heart was the real danger.
So he thought.
Nearly two years later, he remembered, even as Frodo sailed, bathed in the silver light of an Elvish star.
