“Beautiful.”
Aragorn ran his callused hand down Frodo’s bare back. The edge of the gold ring caught against the whip scars on Frodo’s skin. Each caress burned with excruciating pain.
Frodo stifled his cry. He knew the rules. He was to utter no sound unless his master allowed it.
“My sweet hobbit,” Aragorn said, running his hand through silky hobbit curls. “My sweet. You may weep.”
Frodo allowed tears to ooze from his eyes then.
“In bed. Now.” Aragorn’s finger snagged in the collar around Frodo’s neck. Once the collar had belonged to Scruffy the dog.
But that was before.
