Date: 2013-03-27 10:34 pm (UTC)One of them on Dreamwidth, (Full Circle) I can't comment because I don't have an account, but I did love it. Once I read that book-Frodo meets all the diagnostic characteristics for PSTD except for autonomic arousal (nightmares, hypervigilance and startle reaction) but I've always assumed he had them, and you've written that here too. His decision to try to live, to find something that gives him joy; and then to give that life to Rosie and Elanor, and finally to live on over the sea, is so poignant, and so in character for one who has learned to Endure no matter what.
I'll go back when I have more time to read more. Thanks for reminding me of great times past.
