Drabble #4 for Shirebound

This is actually a drabble, yay!

shirebound requested starlight on snow.



Tauriel often journeyed beyond her borders to clearings where sun warmed her cheeks or to where flakes of ice lace floated from the sky and landed on her brow like sea mist.

One December night, Tauriel arrived at her favorite clearing. She darted over freshly fallen snow, her feet barely making an imprint, and leaped upon a boulder. There she sat, knees drawn to her chest. The snow twinkled ethereal silver.

Starlight.

Tears rolled down her cheeks.

On nights like this, she always thought of him, the dwarf with the gentle eyes who had carried her heart to the end.
